Description
Kyptec Automation® provides this 8.5 MM SWIR camera lens engineered for 900–1700 nm short-wave infrared imaging using compatible 2 MP, 2/3-inch sensors. SWIR imaging buyers should evaluate wavelength transmission, focal length, illumination, sensor spectral response and target working distance for reliable industrial analysis.
The 8.5 MM focal length enables broad short-wave infrared scene coverage within a compact machine envelope. SWIR inspection can help reveal spectral differences that ordinary visible-light imaging may not show, but achievable contrast depends on the material, wavelength, illumination and detector response. Buyers evaluating material identification, moisture-related contrast or semiconductor inspection should first establish that their target produces a useful response in the selected SWIR band.
This lens is specified for 900–1700 nm operation, 2/3-inch sensor-format coverage, C-mount integration and an F1.4 aperture. Correct spectral matching matters because a visible-light lens may not transmit and focus SWIR wavelengths as required. The optical and camera design must also account for detector sensitivity, focus adjustment, working distance and lighting power; the listed 2 MP rating should be assessed with the actual sensor pixel pitch and desired feature size.
For OEM machine vision builds, the 8.5 MM SWIR lens can be shortlisted by calculating target field of view and image scale, checking the sensor image circle, and validating image contrast with representative samples.
